The Poll

I have attempted to fix the poll. No, I didn't try to give Woo a vasectomy. Many folks have stated that they had a problem placing votes in the last poll. The old poll has been deleted and a new one started. This poll is too important to not be completed as we need to find out who is the greatest Dehbeh ever. The new one worked for me, but so did the last one. Hope it goes alright for you.

Another New Poll......Can Bunch Make It 3 In A Row?

Well Bunch has managed to triumph over "The Git" in yet another poll. These last 2 have been such easy victories for the "Dehbeh" that I have decided to leave Git out of this poll so that Bunch can have some real competition. This weeks poll is to decide once and for all the answer to the question we have all wondered about for so long. Who is the greatest "Dehbeh" of all time? Can Bunch do the unthinkable and take home a third straight Revolting Blog Poll victory? You have already had a chance to view the contestants. Now make your way to the right of the blog and cast your vote. Think about this one long and hard. If you are like me, your favorite Dehbeh can change from day to day. Don't make a vote you might later regret. That's all for now, gotta go watch one of my all time favorite movies: When Harry Met Twanda. Adios!!!!!!

Tuesday Tidbits

Today's post has nothing to do with Kendall's son Noah and it has nothing to do with Dick Vitale. However, the two guys are so photogenic that the world should see their picture together. It may never happen again. The family of Git's were lucky enough to run into Dickie V at a restaurant in Sarasota, I think. I was glad to hear that he was very personable and nice enough to give a few minutes of his time. Now on to the irrelevant news.
My Dad and Step-Mother are in Russia on a business trip/vacation. If they don't get too drunk on the vodka and miss their plane, they will be home this week with some very interesting photos and videos. Cathy has emailed a few times and said that the Russians raise a toast to everything. They have had to fake drinking their vodka many times. I bet Cathy has done the most faking. If they can get it through customs I will have myself an authentic bottle of some of Russia's finest. I can't stand to even smell vodka, but it will be a great souvenir anyway. I hope it makes it. Please remember them as they make their long flight home. I hope they have many pictures of famous Russians such as Ivan Drago, Nikolai Volkoff, Ivan and Nikita Koloff, and Lyndall Kantgitoff.
It's been a big few weeks for former Wildcat basketball players and coaches. Rajon Rondo became a champion with the Boston Celtics. Tayshaun Prince was named to the USA Olympic team. Tubby (President of the National Association of Basketball Coaches) stuck it to Billy Clyde when the NABC put out a statement asking coaches to not secure commitments from guys until after their sophomore year of high school. Former Tubby assistant Scott Rigot landed a job at Duquense University and promptly signed Morakinyo Williams. I guess that counts as a big week for Rigot. Jamaal Magloire made Wojo tap out in 6 out of his 7 dreams last week. Patrick Sparks didn't go to jail. And the biggest news of the week, Saul Smith signed an endorsement deal with Soul Glo.
In high school news, Dakotah Euton, a UK basketball recruit was ruled ineligible to play next year for Scott County. Whoever runs the KHSAA should be ashamed. I realize they have to control recruiting even at the high school level, but this kid's family actually HAD to move. His father's company closed down their offices in Ashland and he had two options. Transfer to North Carolina with the company or take a job in the Lexington area. His son didn't want to move out of state because it is his dream to try and win Mr. Basketball in his home state. They toured all the Lexington area schools as well as Scott County. They did their homework, and they liked the facilities and team better at Scott County. So, they bought a home in the Scott County school district. However, since his son is a high profile basketball player, the newspapers were all over the move and the Dad commented to a reporter that they chose Scott County for basketball reasons. Because of this, our beloved KHSAA has ruled the young Euton ineligible. This bothers me mostly because if he were a math whiz and wanted to join the Scott County academic team because he thought their math teachers were better, nothing would be said. This is a kid who is going to be using basketball to get himself a college education, possibly even play professionally. His family HAD to move. Why shouldn't he be able to choose a school which he and his family believes will best suit his preparation for college and possibly his career. It blows my mind and I would like to hear your thoughts, especially you teachers.
Apparently that "lost" Amazon tribe who had never had human contact outside of the tribe was a hoax. This was a story all over the news a few weeks back. Some photographer took pictures from the sky of this tribe and their huts and what not. Now he is saying this tribe has been known about since the early 1900's. He just wanted to discourage loggers from tearing apart the forests. I have wasted minutes of my life reading and typing about this crap that I will never get back, and now you have too. That's the only real reason I posted this junk. I didn't want to be the only one. Now print this and go build a new house so those loggers have to work harder.
Scott Bunch once again took his team to victory last Sunday at Bremen. He is quickly becoming a legend. Rumor has it that his jersey will be retired and will hang from the rafters of Bremen gym. The main problem is that Bunch doesn't have a jersey. He does have an old KBA shirt, as well as an old airbrushed shirt that says "I'm nuts over Clint Allen". Grant Sharp is putting together a commitee of Bremen teachers to decide which shirt to frame for the ceremony.
Since I mentioned Sharp, I would like to close this post by congratulating him on his lucrative endorsement deal with Dodge. They were looking for someone to promote the new Charger, and who better to do that than the charger himself, Coach Sharp. Have a nice day!!!!!!

Hey, Kobe!! Tell Me How My A$$ Tastes!!

Apparently Shaq decided to bust a few freestyle rhymes last weekend in NYC. A pretty classic video if you happen to be a sports fan. At this time I haven't seen a Kobe reaction, but it should be interesting. Now I just wish Bunch would drop some rhymes about his and Kendall's feud and my world would be complete.

R.I.P. Penrod

Today one of my old buddies will be laid to rest. As most of you probably know, Penrod Eades passed away this week. While Penrod was not a close friend of mine, he was a guy who I played ball with quite frequently in the mid to late 90's, back when we could all play a little. Even though I know he had his share of issues, the Penrod that I knew was a fun loving guy who always had a smile on his face. In the gym, you would never know anything was wrong with the guy. He was always picking on somebody and trying to make others laugh. I'll never forget the time he brought his buddy from Murray to play in the dust bowl with us. The guys name was Mike Hunt. That's not a lie. Anyway, Mr. Hunt was suppose to be the player to put us over the hump to actually challenge the Nasty Boys and Sudden Impact for the dust bowl title. All Mr. Hunt accomplished was pissing off Bullock because he took his starting job. I think if we had laid Bullock down that day we could have grilled burgers on his chest he was so hot. This Hunt fella wouldn't have started over Kendall Smith. He was not good.

I had the opportunity to talk to Penrod just a month or so ago when I saw him in a yard down the road from our house. Apparently he was dating one of my neighbors. I was driving along, half paying attention when I noticed a big Penrod smile and his waving arms trying to get my attention, screaming "J Rod, J Rod". That's what he and Bethel always called me for some reason. We talked for just a few minutes because I was sitting in the car on the road. He seemed so happy and full of life, just like always, and I would have never suspected he was hurting inside. I only wish that he could have stayed in this area to live, maybe somebody could have been that friend he needed and he might still be with us today. As I said before, he had his issues, but you would be hard pressed to find someone who didn't like him. He had a way of making every conversation fun, he had that contagious smile, and he had that distinctive laugh that his friends and family will always remember. We're gonna miss ya Pen.

A New Poll

Sorry to all the blog readers for being away for so long. I have been working a little overtime the past week as well as being as sick as Scott Bunch's jumper. I don't have a lot of time before I head in to work tonight, so this post is just to satisfy the female blog readers out there who keep on requesting more of "The Git". You will notice a new poll to your right that I'm sure will bring much enjoyment to the regular commenters on this blog. I think I know who will win, but I'm not saying just yet. I'll do better this week with posting. I'm already trying to think up a good top 10 for tomorrow. Gotta head to work now. Have a good one.

A Night Of Classics At Bremen

pictured above (j. vinson, t. vinson, s. bethel, t. delk, c. knight, b. gas)

The picture above is the perfect introduction to what took place last night at Bremen. You see the picture represents a blast from the past, so to speak. That is what it felt like last night in the cozy confines of Bremen gym. We had many classics on hand for the much awaited showdown between Kendall and Bunch. After days of trash talk right here on this very blog, as well as a very controversial poll, the Git/Deh showdown was on. Kendall came all the way from the abyss known as New Johnsonville, Tn for this much anticipated matchup. Also on hand were a couple of friends who we once played basketball with on a much more regular basis. Bremen legend, and critically acclaimed trumpeteer, Scotty Bethel was on hand. Scotty was a part of many legendary and state award winning Bremen High School marching bands. He also likes beans. The other former great who graced us with his presence was Jason Courtney, aka JC Ice. He is known mostly for his ability to mow about 877 yards in one weeks time, while also holding down a full time job on the side. When he's not mowing yards or making airbags, you can normally find him losing 10th district tournaments by letting Jeremy "Moose" Morris stick jumpers in his grill in the waning seconds. Now on to the game highlights.
We were disappointed when we only had 9 guys show up to play. This forced us to shoot up for teams of 4 with one team having a substitute. I don't know what Grant Sharp has done to his buddies, but they are some of the most disloyal punks I have ever been associated with. Just like you can write down with 100% certainty that Mark "every game is senior night" Coury will be in UK's starting lineup, you can write it down that Sharp's boys won't show up on a Sunday in Bremen. Think about that Mark Coury nickname for a minute, its a classic that I must credit to Matt Jones over at kentuckysportsradio.com. Anyway, the teams were decided with Bunch and Kendall landing on opposite sides. The only bad part about this was that Kendall ended up on my team, so I knew that more than likely my team would be the one with the fewest points when the night ended. We had me, Kendall, Tom, and the aforementioned JC Ice on our squad. I guess you could call us the Lakers. The Celtics had Grant, John Pelphrey, Mike Spilla, and the dynamic Scotty duo of Bunch and Bethel. The Celtics came out on fire and took a commanding lead which over time we were able to dwindle to nothing and actually took the lead for a brief few minutes. However, in the end, having no sub cost us big time and we just didn't have enough in the tank to pull it out. I don't know how in the world the 2 young guys ended up on the team with the sub. About halfway through the game, as I was silently praying for the Lord to allow me to finish, it hit me that my team were the ones who hit the shots when we were shooting for teams. Why did we get punished with no sub? I'll never understand that.
This was a game with many individual highlights, however. The first thing that comes to mind is that JC Ice came to the gym saying that he hadn't played ball in 15 years. He then hit about his first 9 shots of the game. Just like riding a bike I guess. We also almost had to stop play once when Kendall went for a save only to have the ball ricochet back at him and ensure that Joakim Noah and the Fresh Prince will never have a little brother or sister. Then there was the "no call" when Grant Sharp should have received a technical foul for slamming the ball down after Tom gave up what I thought was one of the smartest late game fouls in Bremen history. Then there was the late 3 put in Kendall's eye by none other than Scotty "Too Hottie" Bunch to seal the fate of the Lakers. However, the play of the game involved everybody's favorite "Git" shooting the lights out, or at least he can say he put a light out somehow. The Celtics eventually put us away in overtime, with Grant Sharp pumping his fist and shouting trash talk in German, or some kind of funky language that was hard to understand. Maybe those closer to him were able to make out the words of the celebration. I was dehydrated and just glad it was over. Hope everybody can make it back next week, when we anticipate the return of Bob Gas and Terry "Aw" Nunley. Have a good day, and don't forget: say your prayers, eat your vitamins, and if your kid nearly kills one of his best friends in a car wreck and ends up in jail for 8 months, do your best to keep his name in the news. That's all I got for now.

Just A Little Crush

******I had a link posted here but I guess I'm doing something wrong because it just kept saying page not available. Sorry, just do a google search for car f*#ker and you should be able to find the story.

This is a story that everyone deserves to hear. Apparently this fella likes to make love to cars and helicopters. He has a few of his own but would love to get some from your vehicle if you will let him. I'm not quite sure how this takes place. He claims he is not sick and doesn't want to hurt anyone. I believe him. I just never thought about the possibility of one of my vehicles getting raped. I remember one time Kendall Smith was gonna make love to a Rick Pitino autographed 8x10 glossy photo but he got a paper cut and gave up. That's probably the weirdest sex story I can remember.

In other news I would like to apologize to Patrick Sparks for putting the ole Revolting Blog jinx on him the other day. I haven't thought of Pat in a while and the very day I post a video of him in some random foreign basketball game, he makes the news for getting a DUI.

I also would like to share that Grant Sharp is not the most observant guy around. Following a post from last week in which I mentioned my adopted negro son, Grant asked Brittany who that was. He thought Jordan and I were babysitting a child or possibly even adopting one. Hello, look on the right side of the blog Stretch. My whole family is there to see, even the negro. See you at Bremen Sunday night.

Also please notice the new poll on the top right. Please cast your vote for this ever important poll. If you don't have a clue who to vote for, just vote for Bunch. Thanks.

What Are We Talking About?

A classic video to get a sports fan's Wednesday off to a smiling start.

Get Used To More Videos In The Future

After much PRACTICE I have learned how to post Youtube videos on this here blog. I think they are more fun than pictures, so get used to the new video blogging style I have adopted. It should make the blog even more revolting. Worked all night, gotta get to bed. Have a nice day!!

This Weeks Top 10 Courtesy Of Bobby Knight And ESPN

The female blog readers will not appreciate this weeks top 10 nearly as much as the guys, but it is classic stuff. Love him or hate him, Coach Knight brought a lot of great comedy to our televisions over the years. This is ESPN Sportscenter's top 10 Bobby Knight soundbites. Not much effort put in by me with the top 10 this week but for sports fans this is worth it. My favorite is #2 with the game faces. Have a nice day, bloggers.

A video of Pat Pat in some foreign league

Pat is number 31 in red. Nothing significant, just cool to see him playing.
