Date with Hubs
I have been a terrible blogger, seems as though I don't have much to share that's interesting.
I have been off this whole week from work and am loving it! Kris is off on Mon/Tues so he and I headed to a matinee to see The Blind Side. We had not been to the movies in forever, so we wanted to take advantage of our time together (while Jacob was at daycare, HEHE!).
We loved the movie like everyone else, and recommend seeing it if you get a chance.

Christmas Recap
We had a wonderful Christmas, and it was nice to see some snow. We hosted this year, and so my parents and the Pittman family came to our house for lunch. We had a wonderful spread and later open gifts (we drew names, always fun to see what everyone gets).
Kris and I didn't exchange gifts this year since we bought the house and did the upgrades. We figured that was enough for us. Jacob had a few gifts to open before everyone came over. He was excited to see the presents, but would bring every one to Kris and ask him to open - after he got comfortable in his lap.
He loved the drum set
We had to bust out a kids table this year.
We had a little photo shoot. Not sure why I'm laughing so hard. Look at Kate's sweet smile.
Everyone with their gifts.
Our attempt at a family photo. Jacob would not look up for anything. He was not taking his eyes off his new Thomas train. He has gone to bed with it and taken it to every nap too.
Great times, good memories.
p.s. Kris surprised me with a gift - an iPOD Nano. He said since he got a new truck, I should get a gift too. I love it!
John Wall Wants The Cats To Whip Clemson Tonight!!!!!
When I say that John Wall is everywhere, I mean he is everywhere. He may be inside you right now. Even if you're a Michigan or Alabama fan. This is a big day around here. Not only do the Cats play the mighty Clemson Greg Buckners in the Music City Bowl. I am also in the first ever Revolting Blog Fantasy Football Championship with "Big" Alan Hale. We were the top 2 teams in the regular season and now we are squaring off in the final round of the playoffs. Tom and Mike Spilla are duking it out in the 3rd place game. Deh Beh locked up 5th last week against "papaw". It will not be officially over until Monday Night Football ends, but if Hale has a normal week I will know by tonight if I'm done or not. Enjoy your Sunday. Hope you had a good Christmas!!!!!

Christmas Baking
Beth brought her munchkins over today to decorate Christmas cookies. Last year after Christmas, I found these cute children's aprons at Walmart for like $2 - so cute!
Here is Jacob in the Santa apron
Here's Kate in the Gingerbread apron, but she would not wear the hat. Still cute!
I'm sorry I didn't have an apron for Lukie. He's still cute as ever! He looks so big in this picture!
Jacob wanted to eat the cookie so bad instead of decorating. He couldn't contain himself, he took a little bite.
I could not get both of them to look at me, oh well.
I wished I had taken a picture of the cookies after decorating, they were cute. Hope they had fun. I'll be sweeping up sprinkles till Spring.

Random Thoughts
This is not my first post. It is, however, my first in which I've actually taken the time to write something (I plagiarized the Mulkey story.) I'm just gonna give some random thoughts on recent goings on.
First, I enjoyed following Ho Huff and Jeff Gray's virtual slugfest on Facebook today. I actually laughed out loud at Ho. If you missed it, and are friends with these guys, go back and check it out...funny stuff. Ho basically called people out for failing to fully commit as a fan of any given college sports team. He didn't say everyone should be a UK fan (although I think that should be the case), he simply said don't waiver according to team performance. The actual dialogue was much funnier than my summary...go read it. Ho apparently deleted several friends.
I read the Bret "The Hitman" Hart's autobiography. I could hardly put it down. Bret claims to have kept an audio diary during his entire career in preparation for the book. I'm a Hitman fan, but I have to say, he came across as a little bitter at times. He genuinely despises Shawn Michaels, but seems to regard Vinny Mac as a bit of father figure, oddly enough. He has negative things to say, but there is an underlying respect that is definitely there. Bret tells some great stories, and pulls no punches...at all. Steroids, drugs, booze, women...you name it. I saw that he might be making, or has made for all I know, a return to WWE. I might have to dust off the tights and boots and watch that.
Domingez mentioned in an earlier post that I'm gonna be a daddy again. We had an ultrasound today and saw the heartbeat. Still too early to tell if it is a boy or a girl. Braxton says he wants, "Just whatever comes out."
I want to talk about the year Kentucky is having so far, but what do you say that hasn't already been said? Thing is, I think there is still a LOT of room for them to get better. John Wall is a once in a decade talent, the likes of which I'm not sure I've ever seen put on a Kentucky uniform. I'm not saying he is the best player ever to play here. He has, though, brought a level of excitement and attention to the program that I don't remember. Maybe Rex. Wall is pretty skilled on the court too. He makes some mistakes, although fewer and fewer, but just has a feel for the game. He knows when to go and when to stop. And he really does make everybody else better...he can totally dominate a game and not score. It's tough to describe those intangibles, but he has "it". That being said, I'm with Flop. I find myself yelling for a Patterson post up when they need a bucket. And where can I get a Boogie lid? Patterson said Big Cuz bought about five of those things in one day. I'm sure the General smells something fishy there...those things have to cost ten bucks a piece.
Everybody have a good Christmas.

Lets Get This John Wall Photoshop Mania Into Full Swing!!!!!!
You might hate all of these, but I like them so they are making the blog. For some reason it just makes me laugh that whoever did all of this work put Wall doing his dance in at least 80% of them. Who knew that the "Wall Dance" had such a role in history?
" Miracle On Ice". Wall was the star there too!!!!!!
Wall's mother was kind enough to give The Revolting Blog a very rare copy of John's ultrasound picture.
More to come later.........
John Wall Photoshop Mania Continues........And Will For A While
There will be an unbelievable amount of John Wall pics in the next week or so. I have too many to post them all at once so I'll just give them to you about 4 or 5 at a time. One thing is for sure. John Wall has played a bigger role in our history than I ever knew about, and I don't just mean sports history. Stay tuned for the pics. You will see.

Some Thoughts
-Just got accused by a coworker of being a pedophile because I'm jamming some Taylor Swift Christmas music. When I argued that she was of age, the nurse told me I was wrong. We got online and looked it up. Miss Swift turned 20 last week. Take that!! All of that to prove it wouldn't be against the law for me to hook up with a young lady that I would never hook up with anyway. She's not very pretty. Certainly not as pretty as my lovely wife!!!!!! After being proven wrong, the nurse said, "ok, you must just be gay then". It sucks to be outnumbered here at work. I tried and tried to go online and find proof that I'm not gay, but unlike the Taylor Swift age search, I was not successful.
-The Cats are going for win #2000 tonight on ESPNU. "The Monster Mash" Jamal Mashburn will be calling the game along with Jimmy "Violent Cuts" Dykes. We are currently 7 wins ahead of North Carolina in the quest for 2000. I often wonder if we would have gotten there before them if Billy G was still in charge. It would be a lot closer. That much I know for sure.
-Has anyone else noticed that John Wall gets knocked down more than any player in the history of college basketball? We know he's not clumsy. I guess he just gets tripped a lot as he attempts to blow by people. It scares me to death. Especially after that nasty fall the other day against Austin Peay.
-Congrats to Faith and his fellow Bama fans on Mark Ingram's Heisman Trophy win. I thought before the award was given that Ingram should have won, but after seeing his acceptance speech I knew I was right. It was a great, heartfelt speech. He would never win a public speaking award, but what he said was from the heart. The half stuttering, half choking up, sped up style of the speech was what made it great for me. It was much better than some rehearsed, read most of it kind of thing you would expect to see. He also, off the top of his head, thanked pretty much anybody associated with Alabama football by name. I know I shouldn't like a Bama guy, but Ingram just seems like a "real" guy, and I respect that.
-Rivals.com head recruiting expert Jerry Meyer said last week that UK has a very legitimate shot at landing the top 3 ranked recruits in the 2011 class. Mike Gilchrist, Marquis Teague, and Quincy Miller are the 3 recruits. It has long been thought that Gilchrist would play for Calipari. He is supposedly the best player in high school basketball right now, and he's a junior. I've never watched him, but scouts expect him to have an impact on the level of Durant or Beasley. Teague is a PG who is also looking at the filthy Cards. Rick hired his high school assistant to the UL staff in an attempt to lure him. It was widely speculated that he would commit to the Cards this past summer, but Rick got busy in a Burger King bathroom* and Calipari came to UK. Now Teague wants to think about things. Miller, Michael's 3rd cousin, was in the stands on his official visit during the North Carolina/UK game and supposedly left very impressed. He was seen last week at a high school tournament wearing nothing but UK gear. It would be nice to get these guys.
-The UK women's basketball team is now 10-0 on the season. They got their 10th win against last year's NCAA runner up Louisville. They whipped the Cards 101-67. It's probably been done, but I can't remember them ever being 10-0.
-Bobby Knight took a shot at Coach Cal the other day. I'm sure you've seen this. I don't really have much to say about it. I didn't like Knight when he was coaching, although his NCAA press conferences were very entertaining. I do like Knight as an announcer on ESPN. He can really break down a game like no other. There's no doubt the man knows basketball. Finally, I don't like Knight the "Cal basher". The end.
-One thing this Bobby Knight stuff, as well as all the other criticism of Cal has done is make me happy in a way. It is my hope that with so much attention being brought to Coach Cal and his "shady" recruiting practices, he will surely walk the line now. He's gotta know that at UK the spotlight shines bright and he can't mess up. All of this attention makes me worry about the "shady" side of our coach a little bit less.
-It was good to see a Scott Bunch tribute during the Austin Peay game. I'm sure you all remember it. Bledsoe to Wall to Patterson for the "Bunch" alley-oop.
-Just read that actress Brittany Murphy died at the age of 32 of "natural causes". Really? What is natural about finding a 32 year old lady dead in her bathroom? Sorry to hear about this. She was Slim Shady's woman in 8 Mile in case you don't know who she is. She was also Ashton Kutcher's woman for a while after they were in some movie together.
-It's being widely speculated that the Music City Bowl game will be the last as a Wildcat for RB Derrick Locke. I can't picture him being a high draft pick. In fact I can easily picture him going undrafted. Admittedly, I don't research who the top prospects are for the NFL draft though. However, Locke does have amazing speed. I think he will find a spot in the league as a return man. I just think he is a little small and injury prone to be a RB at that level. I really hope he proves me wrong. He has apparently been told that his stock won't go up by staying for his senior season, and he only risks injury by staying. For him, that's a big risk. He can always come back to get his degree. UK makes that available to all former athletes. Locke apparently has a young daughter and wants to provide for his family. I can't fault him for that. If he's gone, I wish him well. He's been fun to watch.
-I've never thought much about what Jehovah's Witnesses believe in. Tonight I learned that one of their beliefs is that only 144,000 people will go to Heaven. Why 144,000 you ask? Well I didn't learn that much. I just wonder one thing. If only 144,000 are making it to Heaven, why do they go door to door and recruit so hard? Do they realize that they are just bringing in more competition for one of the prized spots? I also know that they won't take a blood transfusion. When I was working in Bowling Green I can remember a lady refusing a transfusion in the ER and leaving against medical advice. Her blood count was so low that with her active GI bleed she more than likely died within a few days. I never heard either way. She was in her 50's. That's all the religion talk for The Revolting Blog today. One more thing that just hit me. I bet they don't take the blood transfusions in an attempt to beat all the new recruits to Heaven.
-The last thing I'm gonna mention is a very entertaining, yet sad story from Tennessee. Apparently a 4 year old boy in Chattanooga got drunk and robbed a bunch of his neighbors. Sorry I don't have a link but I read this story a few days ago. He was found around 2 in the morning wearing a dress he had unwrapped and stolen out from under a neighbor's Christmas tree. He was also drinking beer. 4 years old. Unbelievable. Even Kentucky's 4 year olds aren't beer drinking robbers. Tennessee should have tried to keep this story on the down low. The sad part of the story, well I guess it's all sad, but the kid's mother said he had been trying to get in trouble in an attempt to get thrown in jail to spend time with his dad. Have you ever heard a story so funny, yet so sad at the same time?
Have a nice day!!!!!!!
*Rick Pitino did not actually get busy in a Burger King bathroom. He has many qualities that are similar to the legendary Humpty Hump, but to my knowledge he has only gotten busy in the Porcini's dining room. Of course I'm not blessed with much knowledge on where Ricky P gets busy, so I can't definitively say that the Burger King stuff is untrue. If it is untrue, then the fine people over at Burger King have my sincerest apologies.
Only 5 days until Christmas!!!!!! Current and former UK coaches unite to wish you well!!!!!!

Wife Of Former WCW Champ Likes The John Wall Dance!!!!!! And Large Mugs Of Beer!!!!!!
She was once famous only for being married to former WCW Heavyweight Champ David Arquette. Now, Courtney Cox is trying to get famous by doing the "John Wall Dance". If performed correctly, this plot to achieve fame could actually work. She also had a role on a show called Friends. It had a decent run. Now she has a new show, Cougar Town, which has a dude from Kentucky as part of the cast. There was a basketball scene in a recent show, and this dude, Josh Hopkins, did the classic "John Wall Dance". He apparently tried to teach it to the wife of the former WCW champ. Hence the picture above. Below is a clip of the show. Enjoy!!!!!!

Global Warming-Fact or Conspiracy?
Time for rant on our wonderful government and their willingness to dip as far in our pockets as possible. They don't even care if they have play a little pocket pool to get what they want.
Ladies and gentlemen, take it from Faith, global warming is nothing more than a myth that many, many people are cashing in on. It was recently discovered that a influential climate change scientist altered information in studies on global warming to ensure that his government sponsorship checks would keep coming in. Apparently, there were e-mails found in his computer that have proven to be very detrimental to the global warming conspiracy that the media is now calling Climategate. I personally have never bought into the theory that we cause global climate change. I do believe that climate change exists. It has all throughout time on earth and will continue to as long as the sun stays in our solar system. Once it was proved that Earth has went thru an 8 year cooling cycle as apposed to warming, the phrase "global warming" was conveniently changed to "extreme climate change". Global warming was nothing more than money making venture for Al Gore and the UN. Turns out that Obama has taken another step in the direction of crippling the U.S. economy by moving towards a global currency and economy and getting rid of the dollar under the ruse to use this global currency to fight climate change globally. This will ruin the U.S. as we know it. Along with the ridiculous health care proposal and he and Bush's wonderful idea for stimulus packages which were made up of loans from communist China, we are headed down a dangerous road.
They tell us now that carbon dioxide is poisonous and killing the planet. If this is true, then oxygen is poisonous and killing the planet as well. Without carbon-dioxide, there is no oxygen. I think we learned that in elementary school science. But no worries, you put out as much carbon as you want. All you have to do is pay the government, Al Goober and the rest of the profiteers extra to create that pollution. Thats like telling Tiger Woods that he is the worst person on earth for having 13 or more affairs on his wife but all will be forgiven if he pays taxes on all the affairs. It's like telling Maholli that he's a traitor for loving the Cardinals but The Revolting Blog will allow him to be a blogger again if pays his 6 figure contract back. It's like telling Deh Beh that 3 pointers will no longer be allowed at Bremen unless he pays for each one he makes. It's like telling JV how wrong it is to marry a much younger woman but all will be forgotten if pays a certain amount for their age difference. I think you get the point.
If you are reading this and disagree, prove me wrong. There are more scientists that disagree with theory of man-made global warming than ones that agree with it. All the ones that agree are profiting from it. All the ones that do not agree are never heard from on a big stage because they are threatened with their lives and their families lives. Not to mention the news outlets don't interview them because they can't advance their agenda by hearing both sides. That is a fact. Don't buy into the hype . Don't get me wrong, I think we all have a responsibility to take care of the environment but we cannot change naturally occurring events. The whole point of this rant is to vent my disgust for politicians reaching in our pockets for more things we can't control. I think we're taxed enough, don't you. Sorry if I bored you. I just watched a show on cap and trade and increased tax proposals to help fight global climate change and I'm pi$$ed!!!
Meeting Santa
Tiger Woods
As we have all herd by now Tiger Is more than just a golf player he is a male whore. But what guy wouldn't want to a Billionaire one of the greatest athletes ever and a male whore. But honestly I do fill sorry for his kids. I do love his new name Cheata Woods. If his wife is smart she will get some sponsors from a golf club manufacture on how durable there clubs are and how they can take a beaten. He has lost several sponsors and has taken a leave but he will be back. And when he wins all will be forgotten.
On a side note I didn't see who the 4000th guest was so if you will call this number 1-631-403-2022 it will give you info about your winnings.

Mark Ingram wins the Heisman Trophy
Another fantastic week for Crimson Tide and Wildcat fans. Mark Ingram makes history and returns to Tuscaloosa, AL with the Tide's first ever Heisman Trophy. It's very hard to believe that in Alabama's storied football history that it took this long to win a Heisman. JV texted me the other night and compared it to Kentucky never having a #1 pick in the NBA draft which is also very hard to believe. I will hate to see John Wall go but it appears he may change that stat after this season. Ingram is very deserving of the award as were the other candidates. I kinda felt bad for Colt McCoy for about a second because I believe he should've won last year over Sam Bradford of Oklahoma. Toby Gerhart of Stanford is also a stud. He and Ingram are very similar in their running styles. The most impressive stat of Ingram's to me is that he has only had 1 lost fumble in 429 touches. Unbelievable!! Thats almost as impressive as Deh Beh's 3 point attack at Bremen. I've never actually seen it live but have heard many stories that continue to impress me. I attached a link to the Heisman award being given to Ingram. If you look at it, go on into you tube and watch some of the highlights of Ingram and Gerhart. They are both absolute beasts on the football field. I feel for any defender that takes them on one on one in the open field with a full head of steam. Congratulations to Mark Ingram and the rest of the candidates, but mainly Ingram.
Now on to the Kentucky Wildcats. In the words Dickey V, "WOW". John Wall is putting on a show each and every game. He has proven to be the go to guy when the game is on the line. I wish there were some way to talk him into staying 1 more year. I think Kentucky has a real shot at the Final Four this year if they don't implode. The only thing that worries me is the fact that can't hold their big leads. If they can improve on that and their foul shots, thay can make a serious run for the Title this year. What is it with Calipari teams and freethows? Memphis had the National title won but couldn't make freethrows. Demarcus Cousins impressed me in the UCONN game and Bledsoe hit some big shots vs. Indiana. Patterson is doing his job but John Wall is just the man. In other KY basketball news, the Hilltoppers upset Vandy in Nashville with a few highlight worthy dunks.
I promise to follow the Cats more closely in the future so I can give more in depth analysis of their games. I have to concentrate on Texas right now. I am very supersticious and believe that if I turn all the attention to basketball right now, I will jinx Alabama in their quest for a 13th National Title. I am often made fun of for some of my rituals for Alabama games but I have found that when I abandone those rituals, the games do not turn out good. For instance, when we played Tennessee, I went to a church bonfire at a friends farm during the game. I had already comitted to going before the time of the game had been announced. My number one superstition is that I will not watch a game outside of 2 places: My house or my friend Rick Percell's house. If you don't know what happened in the Tennessee the game, we practically lost. Mount Cody blocked 2 field goals that saved the game, one of which was kicked as time expired and Bama would have had no chance at the National Championship if they lost that game. Give me time Big Blue fans and I will come thru for you after the Tide beat the ever living snot out of the Longhorns. ROLL TIDE!!!!

Company Christmas Party
Friday night was my company's Christmas Party. Kris and I were happy to get out of the house together while Meme and Papaw watched Jacob. We were out pretty late, I think we got home around 10:30pm. :)
Each employee drew a number then picked out a gift to open. My first gift was stolen, I then was the lucky one who opened this number. I give you Rita Rims Party Cups. As you can see, some of them were gag gifts.

We had fun, and it was nice to get out of the house.
Some Interesting Wildcat Thoughts and John Wall Facts
Big win for the Cats yet again on Wednesday night in MSG. Of course the big story was the play of everybody's favorite phenom, John Wall. The one thing I have noticed this season with the Cats that has been gone for a while is the feeling that we are going to win a tight, intense game. I really never thought about losing to UNC or UCONN. Even when the Cats started playing sloppy and bad during each game, I still thought they would pull it out. Obviously at some point they are going to get it handed to them if they keep turning it over and missing so many foul shots, but it's nice to have that winning feeling again.
Here are some text messages I got during and after the UCONN game:
- From Bunch at halftime: C-A-T-S cats cats cats we will be fine!
- From Bunch after the game: C-A-T-S cats cats cats Wall Wall Wall!!!
- From Miller after the game: The Great Wall, the iceman, my hero, #11
- From Faith after the game: He is worthy!
- From Tom after the game: Wall's good but he's no Bethel
- From Ho after the game: Wall's so good he makes me wanna slap Kevin Whitmer
- From Coach Calipari after the game: Scotty Bethel poops ice cream!!!!!!
Some John Wall facts you may not have known:
- It took the doctors 30 minutes to put an IV in Wall because of the ice water in his veins.
- Wall stayed in NYC because they decided to invite him to the ceremony as a Heisman finalist.
- John Wall missed a shot once, just to see how it feels.
- John Wall was pre-season second team All-SEC. Way to go voters!!!!!!
- John Wall's blood smells like cologne.
- Even Mark Coury does the John Wall Dance.
- John Wall makes Dickie V say "Are you serious?" at least 42 times per game.
- That guy from the Dos Equis commercials doesn't always watch basketball, but when he does he prefers John Wall.
Fantasy Football Playoffs Are Here. Here Are Some Interesting Stats From The Revolting Blog's First Regular Season.
There are 6 teams who made the playoffs. Four have packed it up for the year but will be invited back for another shot at the Revolting title next season. "Big" Alan Hale and his Redskins finished the regular season in first place after going on an unbelievable winning streak. My team, Porcinis After Hours, fell short in the end after starting the season off with 9 straight wins. Bunch (hefty lefty), Tom (Bremen Wookies), Greg (Bad News Cats), and Mike Spilla (brooksbunch), are the other playoff teams. The Shane "Sizzler" Hardison team, which changed names throughout the season, lead the league in points but failed to make the playoffs. If it hadn't been for my famous benching of my defense late one Monday afternoon, I would have had the points title. I was up by 4 one week on Hop, my long time nemesis, and he had nobody in the Monday night game and my Pittsburgh defense was all I had going so I benched them. All they could do was lose it for me. They ended up scoring 21 points. Shane thought it was bad sportsmanship, but I was just trying to win baby. Turns out I would've whipped Hop bad if I had played them. Instead I won by 4. Anyway, in the end Shane wins the points title. The trophy will be presented at the yearly Revolting Blog Awards Banquet. This year's entertainment will be provided by the famed duo, Bunch and Vinson. We will lip synch old Vanilla Ice and Lionel Richie songs. The Revolting Blog exotic dancers could also make a special appearance. Now on to the stats.
Top 5 QB's
1. Aaron Rodgers - Bremen Wookies - 251 points - top point man in the league
2. Drew Brees - Hops Skull Crushers - 234
3. Peyton Manning - Hefty Lefty - 220
4. Tom Brady - Bremen Bombers - 215

3. Adrian Peterson - Porcinis - 190
4. Ray Rice - Underachievers - 173
5. Ricky Williams - Bremen Bombers - 161 - 6th went to Thomas Jones of Big Al's Redskins. Al also had Ricky Williams until a late season trade for Reggie Wayne. That means for most of the season he had 3 of the top 6 RB's.
Top 5 WR's
1. Randy Moss - Underachievers - 155
2. Larry Fitzgerald - Porcinis - 152 - I've had Larry for 1 week. Got him in a trade with Muddy.
3. Reggie Wayne - Redskins - 149
4. Miles Austin - Hops Skull Crushers - 144
5. Andre Johnson - Porcinis - 136
Top 5 TE's
1. Vernon Davis - Hefty Lefty - 134
2. Antonio Gates - Bremen Bombers - 117
3. Dallas Clark - Redskins - 110
4. Tony Gonzalez - Underachievers - 99

1. Hefty Lefty - 142 in week 11 against Porcinis
2. Porcinis - 136 in week 7 against the Underachievers
3. Porcinis - 134 in week 13 against the Dingleberries
4. Underachievers - 125 in week 10 against the Bad News Cats
5. Porcinis - 124 in week 6 against the Bremen Wookies
Top 5 Biggest Beatdowns
1. 64 points - week 11 - Brooksbunch goes down to the Redskins 108-44.
2. 59 points - week 10 - Hop goes down to the Redskins 111-52.
3. 57 points - week 2 - Brooksbunch goes down to (guess who?) the Redskins 123-66.
4. 51 points - week 11 - Porcinis goes down to the Hefty Lefty 142-91.
5. 48 points - weeks 1 and 10 - Bad News Cats lost by 48 both times they went up agains the Underachievers. In week 1 the score was 116-68. In week 10 it was 125-77.
Now that I look at it. I'm the only team that made the beatdown list that actually put up a decent fight. My Porcinis squad put up 91 points and still made the list with a 51 point beatdown. Congrats to Hefty Lefty and his band of misfits.
Top 5 Closest Contests
First of all we had 2 ties, which would technically be the closest games. I will list the ties and then the top 5 closest games.
Bad News Cats vs. Bremen Bombers in week 2, 58-58. A real slugfest there.
Redskins vs. Hefty Lefty in week 4, 72-72.
That Bad New Cats tie actually separated Greg from Hop and Shane for the last playoff spot.
1. Hefty Lefty over Bremen Bombers in week 5, 62-60. The interesting thing about this game is that both of the Bombers kickers were on a bye week and Merle didn't pick anybody up to play. You would think that just about any kicker could have given him the victory. I realize kickers don't always put points up, but I can guarantee they don't when they don't play. I can't look it up now, but I bet he had already used his 2 moves for the week and couldn't pick up a kicker at the last minute. Or, like most people, he just figured he could beat Bunch without one.
2. Bremen Bombers over The Underacheivers in week 4, 90-87.
3. Hops Skull Crushers over Team Dingleberries in week 11, 81-78.
4. Bremen Wookies over The Underachievers in week 2, 111-107.
5. Bremen Wookies over Bremen Bombers in week 3, 85-81. The Wookies took the storied rivalry game in a thriller.
How Many Times Did Each Team Put Up 100 Or More Points?
Underachievers - 7 times
Porcinis - 6 times, coulda been 7 if I hadn't famously benched the D that Monday against Hop.
Redskins - 6 times
Hefty Lefty - 5 times
Brooksbunch - 3 times
Bremen Wookies - 3 times
Team Dingleberries - 2 times
Hops Skull Crushers - 2 times
Bad News Cats - 1 time
Bremen Bombers - goose egg
Other Interesting Facts From The League
- the lowest scoring game of the season was Brooksbunch's lowly 44 point effort in week 11. You will find this referenced already in the beatdown rankings.
- Bunch considered changing the name of his team from Hefty Lefty to He Who Hates Maurice Morris after he randomly picked up the Lions RB in week 9 and started him over Laurence Maroney. Morris put up maybe 2 points (I don't feel like going back to look it up), and Maroney put up 14. Bunch lost 104-99 in a game that almost made our closest games top 5.
- Team Dingleberries and the Bremen Bombers each had 4 losses by single digits. The Fighting Shane Hardisons had 3. That's tough luck.
- Big Al's Redskins didn't get a single point from the QB position the last 2 weeks of the regular season, yet he won both games.
- The weiner dog cast a spell over my Porcinis squad that put me into a 3 game losing streak and ended up costing me the number 1 seed in the playoffs. Weiner dog = suck it
- I sometimes talk to Hop via email. He asked my opinion a few weeks ago about some of his WR. I told him to bench Michael Crabtree and play Santonio Holmes because Holmes was going against the lowly Chiefs. He did it. Crabtree got about 80 yards and a TD. Holmes, well I don't remember what he got but he sucked, and Hop lost. Hop missed the playoffs by 1 game. You're welcome.
- It's Brooksbunch vs. Hefty Lefty in the first round. Thumphammer vs. Deh. 8 vs. 42. It should be a battle.
- The other first round matchup is the Bremen Wookies vs. the Bad News Cats. If the Wookies can pull it off it will be an all Vinson matchup in one of the semis. The Deh/Thumphammer winner will face Big Al's Redskins. I'm pulling for Miller to make it to the finals. I hope I do as well and I can get revenge for him putting an end to my winning streak. Although if Bunch makes it I could avenge that 51 point beatdown. Then again if Al makes it I can beat the first place team that overtook me late in the season. It really doesn't matter, because I've just got this underdog feeling in my gut that the Bad News Cats are gonna catch fire and take the whole thing.

Fulfilling Boot's request
Since Boot was kind enough to welcome me to the Revolting Blog, I will now fulfill her request with a little about the family. I have some random thoughts while posting so don't be surprised if random statements are made. I was just thinking how uncanny JV's memory is. That whole middle name thing is a true story but it happened nearly nineteen years ago. I liked the middle name "Bennett" better than my given middle name, "Shannon". I liked it so much, we named our first born Cole Bennett Faith. I didn't just come up with name. It also happens to be my Grandfather's middle name who will from now on be referred to as Gramps. Gramps is one my all time hero's followed closely by JV, Michael Jordan, Bernie Lomax and Brother Walter. Bob Gas may be the only one that gets Brother Walter. It's also been a while since I've thought about Pluck and Bang and the Trooper II.
Anyway, back to the fam. My wife's name is Mandi. She is originally from Huntsville, AL so she's to blame for me being here. She is a school teacher at the school directly across the street from where we live. We met in my short stint as a restaurant manager in Tuscaloosa where she was a waitress that had affairs with me, Tiger Woods, A. Rod and others not to be mentioned at this time. We hit it off quickly and as soon as I convinced her to dump her loser boyfriend, we became a couple and have lived happily ever after so far. She's a great girl and I plan on staying with her until she takes lessons from JV on cradle robbing and decides to move on to a 1985 model.
My son is Cole "Slaw" Faith. He shares my love for Kentucky Basketball and Alabama Football. He's active in baseball and basketball. I haven't let him play football yet due to his size. He wants to, but we haven't let him yet. We had a basketball game tonight and he fouled out in a quarter and half of play. Although he's one of the smaller boys on the court, he wants to make his presence known. He's in the 3rd grade and just turned 9 on Dec. 5th. He makes A's and B's in school and will continue to or I will hurt him. Funny how grades meant very little to me as a student but now they mean very much to me as a parent. He's a good boy and I'm very proud of him. If he could figure out a way to get along better with his sister and earn enough money that I would never have to work again, I would be even more proud.
My daughter is Abigail Rae Faith. I need some help coming up with a clever nickname for her so leave suggestions in the comments if you want. She is 5 years old and attending kindergarten at the same school as Cole and Mandi. She will no doubt be the death of me or the first boy she introduces to me. Hopefully, I'll be able to read this blog from prison. She is very witty and totally the opposite of Cole. Cole cares about everything he does and tries his hardest at whatever he does. Abby could give 2 craps about most anything that doesn't have to do with makeup, iCarly, or gymnastics. I mentioned her wit which is very odd because I myself am not at all witty. She reminds me of JV with the randomness of some of the things she says and does. So JV, where were you about nine months prior to Aug. 18th 2004? Anyway, Abby loves soccer, cheerleading, gymnastics and is presently trying out basketball. She likes it but tends to play hands up defense no matter what is happening in the game.
As for me, I'm still pretty much the same guy I was when I lived there. I work at a body shop Monday thru Friday and coach my kids sports teams on the weekends and go to church on Sunday. That's it for now. My next rant will either be on my loathing of Barack Obama or more Tide football news.
New Blogger Starts Out With A Josh Vincent. I Mean A Bang!!!!!!
Late Monday evening I received the text message I've been waiting for. Chris Faith's agent let me know that he had agreed to the Revolting Blog's contract offer. It is my hope that the outrageous amount of money we're paying him will be well worth it. If nothing else, he will be bringing the blog instant National Championship mojo with his love for the Alabama Crimson Tide football program. Hopefully that will carry over to the basketball Cats. I just can't imagine the son of Billy Faith being anything but a top notch blogger, Crimson Tide love or not. I can vouch for his Bama football love. We hung out last year, on the day of Blake and Sara's wedding, and watched the UK/Bama game in a hotel room in Evansville, Indiana. Hortney Maddox was staying at the same hotel, so you know it was a special day. Faith wore a Bama jersey and possessed knowledge of each player like some of us do with the basketball Cats. He also taunted me to the point that I cursed the blueby. That's something I later regretted. There aren't many cars that can go into the Hall of Fame, but Faith's blueby is definitely one. It's mentioned in history with such greats as Stew's Ci, my Celeb, Clay's Razor, Sizzler's Tracker, Bunch's Sentra, Miller's Lumina, Fatty's Cavi, Ho's 007 (double 0 selven), Git's Sunbird, Victor's Limo, and Bullock's Shadow. Faith will bring a lot to the blog, and I promise to eventually get a video to post of his now legendary Bernie Lomax impression. His first post is directly below this one, and it instantly stands out as being better than anything Maholli ever put on this blog. Enjoy Nick Saban's adopted son, who once tried to convince the world that his middle name was Bennett.

Heisman Trophy Candidate Mark Ingram
Bama Quarterback Greg McElroy
I didn't add the "girl" to this picture. It was there when i downloaded it.
Since moving to AL, I have become a die hard Alabama Football fan. I'm still an avid Wildcat Basketball fan as well. I like reading the blog to keep me up to date on the happenings of the Wildcats. I root for KY when they play AL in basketball but root for AL when they play KY in football. So since we're talking about the Cats and the Tide, this past Saturday was probably the best day for all Wildcat and Tide fans across the country. How sweet it is to have the Tar Heels come to Lexington and lose for a change. And finally the Crimson Tide get back to their historic winning ways and have a chance at their 13th national title. For those of you who don't know, the Tide rolled into Atlanta and handed Florida and Tebow the worst beating Florida has had in 3 seasons to win their 22nd SEC football title and will play Texas for the national championship on Jan 7th. It should be a classic game. The Longhorns have never been beaten by the Tide. The standing record is 7-0-1. They last played in the Cotton Bowl in 1982 I think. We hope to make all that change Jan. 7th at the Rose Bowl. As much as I like the fact that Bama is playing for the BCS championship, I hate the BCS system. In the words of our President, it's time for a play off system. I am NOT an Obama fan for the record, but I have to agree with him on this and his feeling that Kanye West is a jacka$$. Every other college sport has a playoff and I don't understand why football should be any different. I wanted to do a poll question on 2 things, but since I'm so new at this, I don't know how so I'll just ask the questions and you can feel free to answer in the comments.
*******I have added these polls to the top of the blog as a favor to our new blogger. Surprised to have to do that, Faith has always been pretty good at handling his own poll******jv, I'll be here all week!!!!!!
1. What would you like to see in College Football to decide a National Champion?
a. change nothing, I like the BCS system
b. keep the BCS and play a plus one game
c. full bracket playoff
d. I could care less, I hate football
2. Who should win the Heisman Trophy?
a. Colt McCoy- Texas Quarterback
b. Tim Tebow- Florida Quarterback
c. Toby Gerhart- Stanford Running back
d. Mark Ingram- Alabama Running back
e. Kellen Moore- Boise State Quarterback
f. I could care less, I hate football.
******I've changed the Boise State QB to Ndamukong Suh since he was actually invited to the presentation******jv
In closing I'd like to say there was nothing more satisfying than seeing Tebow cry after the beat down at the Georgia Dome. In all honesty, I've tried to hate Tebow but he makes that very hard to do. I believe he's a good role model and possibly the best college football player ever. He has more drive and will to win than any other athlete I've seen in college sports. I'm not sure he'll be near as successful in the NFL but I'm sure we'll find out. The reason I say I was glad to see him cry is because that meant my team won. That's all for now. I look forward to posting again soon. I'll try to put some pictures of Saturday's game on this post if I can figure out how.
