When I met Kris in 2003, he was a student at Northwest Arkansas Community College.
He had served 5yrs in the Navy right after high school, so college for him came later in life.
Unfortunately when you work full time, taking more than 1 class a semester is a stretch.
Kris received his Associate Degree in May 2008.
He then had his sights on getting his Bachelors.
Luckily we have a local college that allows students to meet 1 night a week for 21 months to receive a BA.
Kris began this journey at John Brown University in November 2008 - every Tuesday - 6-10pm.
I am so proud to say he completed his last night of class Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010!!!
You read right, 7yrs of college. Woo Wee!

His degree is in Business Information Systems.
He and his partners had to submit a database project last night and present to the class.
Needless to say, the last few months have been working endlessly on that one particular thing.
Oh, and did you know we had baby #2 in June?
Yeah, we didn't really time that just right. :)
Saying that I'm so happy that's over with is an understatement!
I mean, I'm so thankful for Kris setting goals and completing them, but I am ready to have him back!
Tonight we had a little celebratory dinner with my sister and her family and our good friend Kirk.
When Kris walked in the door from work, he didn't know what was going on. :)
Here is the delicious cake (that the kids were dying to get their paws on!).
YUM-O!
Jacob asked, "Daddy, you sit by me?"
That's why he's at the kids table. :)
Kris, thank you so much for the example you have set for our sons.
I know you stayed up until the wee hours of the night reading and reading and more reading.
Writing papers and studying like no one's business!
All while working full time 7am-7pm!!
Jacob, Levi and I are beyond proud!!
Love you bunches!!!!
